Travel Insurance: Protecting Your Investment

You are making a substantial investment in your upcoming trip.

Many expect a trip to proceed as planned, and usually they do.  But that's not always the case.  I speak from experience--a flight to Rome to catch a cruise was interrupted by eruption of a volcano in Iceland.  Instead of a 3-hour layover at Heathrow, I had a six-night layover and missed the cruise.

Fortunately I had travel insurance.  I got my pre-paid costs refunded (i.e. the cruise) and London hotel covered.  I've been a believer ever since.

At the time of your final payment, you will need to provide verification that you have purchased trip insurance.  Beadventures  recommends TravelEx based on its excellent customer service.  If you purchase TravelEx’s Travel Select plan within 21 days of making your trip deposit (or 30 days under the Travel Max plan), you are eligible for the pre-existing condition waiver, which means your travel insurance coverage would be in effect if you have to cancel your trip due to a condition that existed prior to signing up.
